­Introduction

St. Petersburg public transport portal provides the users with the information on the current route and stop system, timetables and real-time service updates.
You can use our Journey planner to plan your trip from one location to another and find possible routes that are available with the current public transport network.
The registered users can create Profile and sign up for notifications about real-time transport arrivals, route assessments, and have an opportunity to give feedback and enquiries about transport service

­Homepage layout

You will find the menu in the upper side of the page. It will give you access to different parts of the portal, possibility to register and create your Profile:

· Homepage – a quick way to access the main page of the portal;
· Routes – public transport routes and detailed information on them;
· Stops – public transport stops and detailed information on every point;
· Carriers – St. Petersburg passenger carriers;
· Log in – access your Profile, for the registered users only;
· Registration – new users can register here and extend their options;
· Forgot password? – you can reset your password here, for the registered users only;
· Current date and time.

You will find an advanced search box under the main menu.

It will give you an opportunity to customize your trip with optional preferences:
· Travel by – bus, tram, trolley-bus;
· Route number;
· Stop name.
You can also use the map and enter the address of the starting and destination points (find out more in the “Journey planner” layout).
The map in the center of the page contains data on the real-time traffic situation, the current transport location and the route numbers:

You will find our Journey planner in the left part of the page (find out more in the “Journey planner” layout).
Go for the news and contact information to the lower part of the page.

­Displaying transport accessibility on the map

Low-floor transport real-time locations will be displayed on the main page of the portal.
Please press "Show only low-floor transport" on the top right corner of the map.

­Route and stop search on the main page

To plan your trip or find a stop location do the following:
· Use advanced search box to choose the mode of transport and route number (stop name):

Click the Search button and you will be moved to the page with the enquired route.
· You can also go to the Route page or Stops page:

where you will find the lists of the routes and the stops (to find out more go to the Route and Stops page layouts).

­Plan journey

Try our Journey planner on the main page of the St. Petersburg public transport portal:
1. Choose the starting and destination points of your trip by clicking them on the map and selecting Start and Finish buttons in the additional menu.

2. Use advanced search to find a street or enter the address in the fields of the Journey planner

The street will be displayed in the central part of the map and marked with a different colour.

3. Click the starting and the destination points of your trip:

4. Please choose the type of transport you are interested in, on the panel “Journey planner” and press “Find”.

5. Status message will appear and the enquired route will be displayed on the map shortly:

You will find a list of possible variants and detailed information on the route and the fare.
6. Click "Reset" to plan your new journey.

You can get to the routes list through the search on the Homepage or by clicking the corresponding button on the main menu:

Besides the routes list you can also use advanced search option in the upper part of the page.
The routes list contains the following characteristics:
· Travel by – an icon with the image of a bus, a trolley-bus or a tram;
· Route number – contains a link to the route page;
· City – describes the routes according to it's location (city/commuter);
· Starting and destination points – contains the links to the stop pages;
· Low-floor – marks the routes with low-floor only vehicles
· Timetable – contains a link to a timetable.
· Show on the map – the link to the route page.

­Route search on the Route page

Advanced search gives an option to customize your search using the following filters:
· Travel by;
· Route number;
· Starting or destination points;
· Street
· Location
You will get a list of the routes that match your preferences.
Click "Reset" to reset and display the complete route list.

­Selected area search: route

Use the map to find routes available in a certain district of the city:
· Choose «Selected area» in the advanced search panel;
· The map will be displayed right under the search panel:

· Click and drag to select the area on the map and go for the corresponding routes to the lower part of the page:

· Clear the checkbox in the additional navigational panel and drag the map to display more areas;
· Clear the checkbox to return to the route list

­Route page layout

From the page “Routes” user can go to the page of a certain route, having clicked the link "Show on the map” in the table of routes:

This page displays the traffic route on the map along with the stops list for both the onward and return journeys:
  • Stop name – contains a link to the Stop page;
  • Stop location;
  • More options for the same stop;
  • Map – click the icon to mark a stop on the map;
  • Timetable – contains a link to a timetable for a corresponding stop

You can access the Timetable page right from the Route page:

The page contains a part of the map with the corresponding route, the list of stops in both onward and return directions, full daily timetable for the chosen stop and other transport options for the same stop.

Click Stops on the main navigation menu to access the list of existing stops:

There is also an option of advanced search in the upper part of the page.
You will find the following characteristics in every stop description:
· Travel by – an icon with the image of a bus, a trolley-bus or a tram;
· Stop name – a link to the stop page;
· Photo;
· Stop location;
· Routes – other transport options;
· Map – Click on the icon to display the stop location on the map.

­Advanced search on the Stops page

There is an advanced search panel on the Route page which allows you to customize your search according to your preferences in the following characteristics:
· Travel by
· Stop name
· Stop location
· Route number
You will get a list of routes that match your preferences.
Click Delete to reset your settings and return to the Routes list.

­Selected area search: stops

Follow the pattern for the route search described earlier. This service is available on the Stops page.

­Stop page layout

Click the corresponding stop name in the list or the starting/destination point on the routes page to access the detailed description of the stop.

The stop location on the map, other transport options in the area and arrival forcast which has been developed on the basis of longterm monitoring will be displayed on the page. Transport accessibility is marked by the icon in the corresponding column.

The list of the passenger carriers is displayed on this page.

Every item in the list contains a link to the detailed information on the carrier and its services.

­Registration

Additional services are for the registered users only and can be accessed through your Profile. Fill in the registration form (the Registration button on the main menu) to create your Profile:

You will receive a letter with your login (E-mail address) and password on the E-mail you entered shortly.

­Additional services

­Autorization and accessibility

Click Log in on the navigation panel of the portal

and type in your login and password to enter your Profile.:

When the authorization is completed the Log in button will be transformed into the Profile button.
Entering your Profile you will find your setting options and the additional services available on the portal at the moment.

If your login or password isn't correct you'll be able to reenter your Profile.

­Editing personal data and password change

You always have an option to change your password or any items on your Personal Data page of your Profile. You will need to reenter your current data and confirm the changes. All fields are required.
To change your password enter the new one and confirm it.

­Password recovery

Click the Password recovery button on the main menu to use this option:

Fill in the form and you will receive a letter with your new password on the E-mail you entered shortly.

­E-mail-notification

E-mail-notification services are for the registered users only. The message contains real-time transport arrivals to the chosen stop within the chosen time interval. One subscription covers one route and time interval. All the settings can be made on the Subscription page of your Profile where the list of your subscriptions will be kept.

Click Subscribe and fill in the form to create your new subscription. All fields are required:

· Enter Subscription name – create a name
· Travel by – choose bus, trolley-bus or tram
· Route – enter route number
· Stop – choose a stop from the list
· Days of week – choose days of week for the service
· Sent at – the time your subscription is created
· Activate subscription
Use Edit to change your settings. Use Delete to clear your settings.

­Feedback

Feedback and enquiry service is for the registered users only.
Feedbacks

Click «Make enquiry» and fill in the form entering all the necessary data for further processing and respond. All fields marked with * are required:

· Last name – corresponds with your Profile
· First name - corresponds with your Profile
· Middle name - corresponds with your Profile
· Postal address – enter if Contact method is «by post»
· Phone number – corresponds with your Profile
· E-mail address - corresponds with your Profile
· Date of accident
· Time of accident
· Travel by – bus, trolley-bus, tram
· Route number
· State registration number
· Carrier ID code
· Place of accident
· Direction
· Contact method – choose the way you'd like to receive the enquiry respond: «No reply», «Oral», «Post», «E-mail».
· Type in
All your previous enquiries will be displayed on the page.

­Search service by number

This service is for the registered users only. You'll need to know either the registration number or the carrier ID code to receive complete information on the transport service including the route number and service hours. Click «Search service by number», fill in the fields and choose «Search»:

­Route assessment

Route assessment service is for the registered users only. The average points will be displayed on the route page:

Click «Assess route» in your Profile to make your assessment:

Click «Assess route», fill in the form and submit. All fields marked with * are required:
